Description
Black sheet is the general term for steel sheet with no zinc or paint coating. Cold-rolled sheet (known in Turkey as DKP) has a smooth surface and tight thickness tolerances, which suits bending and deep drawing. Hot-rolled pickled (HRP) sheet has had its mill scale removed by pickling and is used in heavier gauges.
It is used for machine housings and guards, electrical enclosures, cabinets and boxes, door panels, tanks and hoppers, and general workshop fabrication. Because it is uncoated, it needs primer and paint once in service.
We stock black sheet in common sheet sizes and a range of thicknesses. The sheets are kept in our covered warehouse and loaded by overhead crane for wholesale and retail orders.
