Description
Welded wire mesh is made by laying steel wires at right angles at fixed spacings and welding every intersection, producing a flat sheet. The fixed spacing distributes reinforcement evenly across the surface. Meshes for reinforced concrete fall under TS 4559 and TS EN 10080, with Q (square mesh) and R (rectangular mesh) types the most common.
Reinforcing mesh shortens fixing time in slabs, ground-bearing floors, screeds and raft foundations. Galvanized welded mesh panels resist corrosion and are used for garden and field fencing, animal enclosures, storage partitions and guard panels.
